There is a scene in the movie "Back to the Future," where Marty McFly feels stymied by a problem --He feels there’s no way around this problem and Doctor Brown says to him, “Marty, you’re not thinking fourth dimensionally.”

As soon as he begins to think fourth dimensionally, all of a sudden ideas come to him and then there’s an answer that’s provided. Thinking fourth dimensionally simply means thinking outside the problem. Instead of thinking how big the problem is, start thinking how big the universe is and then tell the problem how big the universe is.

Ideas start to come to us when we realize we really have a capacity of thinking that gives us access to getting anything we choose. What will you choose this day? You have a day right now that you’re holding that’s yours to craft and shape and mold any way you choose.

The day isn’t contained by what’s in it; it’s contained by how you think about it. Let’s think fourth dimensionally today.

The Law of Attraction teaches that we attract into our lives whatever we focus on. How can this be???

Quantum Physics teaches that everything that exists is vibrating energy.

In 1905 Einstein discovered the formula E = mc2, which explains the relationship between Energy and matter; i.e., that energy and matter are interchangeable - that, in reality, everything is Energy; Ever-vibrating energy.

The physical world is a sea of energy constantly vibrating. Different things vibrate at different frequencies. Things that vibrate at the same frequency are attracted to each other. (Hence the saying “Like attracts like.”)

We have been conditioned to believe that the external world is more real than the internal world. Quantum physics says just the opposite. It says that what's happening on the inside determines what's happening on the outside. It says that our world is shaped by our thoughts.

When you are cheerful and happy, you are vibrating at a higher frequency than when you are gloomy and depressed. When you are vibrating at the higher frequency, you attract things to you that have the higher frequency – good things.

Whenever we feel “down” it is extremely important to CHOOSE to feel good instead! In other words, we must raise our frequency! That is easier said than done, of course! But we MUST do it, or we will just keep attracting more and more bad things into our lives!

Have you ever had one of those days (years? decades?) when NOTHING seems to go right? One bad thing happens right after another. It's because we keep thinking about the bad things that are happening, which causes MORE bad things to happen!

If you focus on how fat you are, you will just get fatter. If you focus on your debt and bills, you will get more debt and more bills. Instead, focus on how wonderful it is to be your perfect weight, and how wonderful it is to be cash-rich. (Don’t even use the term debt-free because it includes that four-letter root word “debt!”)

VISUALIZING the results you want while thinking about them is important, and a colorful "dream board" with pictures depicting your "dream life" can help, as well as uplifting music. You need to focus on those desired results, as if they are already here in the present tense, until you can FEEL them! It's most important to FEEL the actual emotions of having the desired results, because it's actually our emotions that control the frequency of our vibration.

As I said, this is easier said than done! But it MUST be done if you are ever going to attract the desired results. It is especially important if you are locked in a vicious cycle of bad things happening. It is very helpful to listen to positive, motivational cds, read positive books, and watch positive dvds, such as "The Secret." Say positive affirmations every day. Every time you find yourself thinking a negative thought, say "Cancel!" and focus on something positive instead. It gets much easier with practice.

Remember, our THOUGHTS control our FEELINGS. Our feelings control the frequency of our vibration, and our frequency is what attracts results into our lives. So CHOOSE to think good, happy thoughts so that you will attract GOOD things into your life!

Steve, The Three-Legged Cat

I just realized that I told you a half-truth the other day! I
want to come clean, and set the record straight.

Maggie is not our only "alarm clock."

There's also Steve, our 3-legged cat. Maggie is USUALLY the alarm
clock, but sometimes it's Steve. Thank goodness neither one of them
is "set to go off" earlier than about 8:30.

Steve was born with 4 legs, but as an adult stray, one of his back
legs was somehow mangled so badly that it had to be amputated. Our
daughter works as a vet-tech at the animal hospital whose vet
rescued him and performed the surgery that saved his life. He is
such a loving cat, and the staff there all became so attached
during his convalescence, that they kept him as an "office cat" as
long as they possibly could.

Unfortunately, his ravenous appetite finally caused him to lose that
position. Not that he ate so much that they couldn't afford to
feed him (although he would have if they had let him!), but that he
was continually ripping into the inventory of large bags of pet
food whenever their backs were turned, rendering those bags
"unsellable." At a cost of $30+ a pop, they simply had no choice
but to either find him another home, "or else."

Do you know how hard it is to find a home for a 3-legged cat?
Well . . . "It ain't easy!"

They tried for weeks . . . and no telling HOW many bags of pet food
later!

No takers.

Yep, you guessed it.

Our daughter was so attached she couldn't bear the "or else"
scenario.

Everyone else at the animal hospital had better-sounding excuses not
to take him in than we did. (Family members allergic to cats, etc.)
When she first approached us about Steve, it was all I could do to
agree to take him in on a trial basis.

For one thing, we already had what I thought was OVER our quota of
pets! (You already know about Maggie; there are even more!) I
ALREADY felt like we were operating an animal rescue out of our
house! (The line "Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be
vet-techs!" often runs through my head, to the tune of that
well-known song about cowboys.)

But the worst thing about taking Steve in was that at first it was
just down-right painful for me to look at him! He looked so pitiful
it broke my heart to watch him limping along. At first I just
couldn't bear the thought of keeping him, knowing I'd have to see
him in that condition on a daily basis.

But we love our daughter. We couldn't say no to at least giving him
a chance.

You know what? Once he'd been here a couple of weeks, we came
to realize that his "disablility" is only in OUR minds, not his!
As the vet so aptly put it, "it's a good thing that dogs and
cats are 3-legged animals with a spare." He actually seems
happier, more active, and more loving, than any cat we've ever
owned!(And we've owned a LOT of cats!)

Maybe he realizes how close he came to losing that 9th life, and
is grateful to still be in the land of the living!

He actually doesn't seem as disabled when he runs . . . although he
DOES look more like a rabbit with a long tail hopping along than a
cat!

I think there's a lesson in here somewhere.

And that is to not pre-judge PEOPLE either based on appearances, or
perceived disabilities. Sometimes those who seem the least likely
to succeed actually turn out to be the most productive business
associates! Sometimes those with the toughest disadvantages are the
ones who are the most grateful to find a "home" (network marketing
company) and a "family" (you and your team) and have the most
desire and determination to fuel their success.

You know something else? To me, probably the
greatest joy of being in the network marketing industry is watching
all the lives that are changed! When you help someone go from
struggling, and being broke, overworked, and stressed out, to
independently wealthy with time freedom, it gives you such a good
feeling to have been able to somehow help that transformation take
place.

Bankruptcies are being prevented, moms are now able to stay home
with their pre-schoolers, Dads can quit those jobs that required them
to spend weeks at a time on the road . . . the list goes on and on.

If you have a soft spot in your heart for those who need a hand,
network marketing is for you!

Huh? 31.95% DON'T know what a "Squeeze Page" is?

Recently, James Grandstaff revealed something
that I found quite interesting...

If you've been around the IM (internet marketing)
scene for awhile, you've most likely heard the term
"squeeze page" before, right?

At least that's what I thought.

Well, James surveyed approx. 500 people on his list
who are interested in making money online. Many stated
they were interested in affiliate marketing, product
creation, MLM, etc...

One of the questions was "Do you know what a
"Squeeze Page" is?"

68.05% answered yes and 31.95% answered NO.

To be honest...

I was shocked that 31.95% said no.

What about you?

In light of this shocking survey data I decided
to write this post today to go over the very basics
of what a squeeze page is and why you should be
using them in your business (if you are not already.)

And for those of you who already use them, pay

A squeeze page, which is also known as a "lead
capture page" or "name squeeze page" is a simple

Change Your pH Balance, Save Your Life!

Have you ever wondered why cancer, lupus, fibromyalgia, osteoporosis, and many other degenerative diseases are escalating at epidemic proportions, in spite of all the billions of dollars spent on medical research and treatment?

It's because the human body was designed to have an alkaline pH balance (approximately 7.4) but the typical modern diet keeps everyone very acidic. Things like meat, dairy products, bread, pasta, sugar and carbonated beverages just KILL your pH balance! If you do not get your pH balance where it should be, you are a walking time bomb for cancer, or many other degenerative diseases!

The good news is that it is easy to get your pH balance where it should be, and then you do not have to fear any of these dread diseases! You can PREVENT them, and even CURE them, just by giving your body what it needs! The human body is an amazing creation, with miraculous healing power, if you just give it a chance! It reproduces its cells at a rate of 1 billion per second. (Which means you are a brand new person every 90 days!) Do You Know The Problem With Having a Job?

Do you know the problem with having a job?
Besides your boss, that is. :-)

Let me address that question by asking you
another question:

If you were going to do a one-time job, and you
had two choices for getting paid, which of the
following would you choose?

A) $50 one time
B) $10 per month for the rest of your life

Obviously, "B" is a MUCH, MUCH better deal.
It's called "residual income" and it's much like
writing a best-selling book or a hit record and
getting paid royalties on it forever.

For example, I read that Elvis Presley made over
$40,000,000 last year . . . and he's been dead for
decades! (Or MIA, anyway, depending on which
theory you subscribe to. :-)

If you're like most people, you have a job. The
problem with most jobs is that it's like option
"A." When YOU stop, the money stops! You're
trading hours for money, and you can't build
wealth that way. To build wealth, you need to tap
into Residual Income.

Residual Income is of course one of the crown
jewels of a good network marketing compensation
plan. As a distributor, you can refer other
distributors and earn commissions on their efforts
as well as your own.

And then you will receive commissions on the
production of the people they refer, and the people
they refer, and so on.

Some people call Residual Income "Passive Income,"
and in a lot of ways it is. What do I mean by that?
That means that top earners can take weeks off at a
time if they choose. They can go on a month-long
vacation. When they return, their commission checks
will be waiting for them in their mailbox.

(Or, with many companies, you can do like I did, and
choose to have your checks direct deposited into your
bank account. That way, you won't be worrying about
your check sitting in your mailbox while you're
visiting the Eiffel Tower. :-)

Indeed, your commission check often will have
INCREASED while you were off with your family on a
cruise, a trip to Europe, or golfing, boating, or
relaxing on the beach!

How can this be, you might ask? The fact is, if
you're like most people, you've been wrongly
conditioned your whole life to think about income
as a process of trading time for money, which
is actually an ANTI-wealth program.

I can guarantee you that Bill Gates, Warren Buffet,
and Donald Trump don't make their money that
way!

Another reason why you've probably been stuck
with the J.O.B. ("Just Over Broke" or, alternatively,
"Journey Of the Broke") mentality is that, frankly,
there have been VERY FEW real opportunities for the
"little guy" to tap into significant Residual Income.

Network Marketing has changed all that, by providing
a way to market goods and services that people use
every day - and pay for every month. This makes
Residual Income (and many other benefits) available
to people from all walks of life.

With network marketing, just a few personal referrals
can, over time, turn into hundreds, even thousands
of affiliates generating hundreds or thousands of
dollars in sales . . . many on which you can earn a
percentage.

you stop, because it's not dependent on you.

By the way, recently Donald Trump was on the David
Letterman Show. You may have seen it. As the interview
came to an end, Dave looked at Mr. Trump and asked very
seriously,"If you lost everything, and I mean EVERYTHING,
what would you do to get it all back?"

Mr. Trump, without hesitation replied, "Network Marketing."
Immediately there was laughter and snickering from
the audience -- I guess most of them thought he was
joking. Donald Trump turned to face the audience and as
politely and graciously as possible, smiled and replied,
"That's why you're there, and I'm sitting here."

This World Is Ruled By Infinite Intelligence

I love the "Miracle Minute" message I just received on my cell phone from Mary Mannin Morrissey. (Life Soulutions) I would like to pass it on to you:

It was Thomas Edison who said “I know this world is ruled by infinite intelligence. Everything that surrounds us – everything that exists - proves that there are infinite laws behind it. There can absolutely be no denying this fact. It is mathematical in its precision.”

So right where you are right now there is a spiritual universe
of which you are a part. It is absolutely mathematically precise in the way it works.

And it is comforting to know this, because it simply means that when we change our thoughts we change our lives. Because mathematically, scientifically, infinitely,
these laws work

So today can be a day you get to create a day of your choosing.

And you will choose it with your thoughts. So join me today, and let’s just take every single thought, and say, "Does this take me forward?" If it does, lean into it and if it doesn’t, send it on its way.

When I created this blog, and named it, it was with the intention of having it be all about my favorite subjects to teach, such as the Law of Attraction and other Laws of the Universe, Personal Development, The Secret, and works by Bob Proctor, Jack Canfield, Napoleon Hill, etc.

Then for some reason, it seems like every time I post, it's about my second favorite subject to teach, network marketing -- or InterNetworkMarketing, as I call it.

Anyway, I wanted to tell everyone something today that is actually relevant to the title! (Please don't faint.) I saw this quote somewhere and just had to share it. (In fact, if you follow me on Twitter, you may have already read it in my tweet earlier today! It goes like this:

"You don't get what you get because you want it. You get it because you believe it."

Wow! Think about it! That is so profound. Let's all make it a conscious decision to believe for what we want!

We can turn it all around if we will just all focus on doing that.

Wow! Our Weekend With "Big Al" Schreiter Was AMAZING! INCREDIBLE! STUPENDOUS!

If you ever get a chance to attend a Big Al Schreiter seminar, do whatever it takes to be there! Our weekend in Houston last weekend was out of this world. We learned SO much!

The theme of the seminar was hands-on internet marketing. For two days we worked on our own laptops and actually learned how to do all kinds of things, like Facebook, Linkedin, Twitter,and YouTube.

Yes! We even recorded our own videos and put them up on YouTube! I can't believe I even have my own "channel!" (That really sounds high-falutin', until you realize that's just how YouTube works, huh!)

First of all, I could never have imagined how easy it was to do! And secondly, we thought we would have to go buy a video camera. Turns out our cheap little digital camera that we already had does just fine!

The technology turned out to be extremely easy! But content . . . now that is another story! When you see these, you will know for a fact that they are the first three videos we've ever made in our lives. (Except for family videos,of course.)

If you had told me that I would ever in a million years allow a video up on YouTube with me in it, I would have said . . . well, what I would have said just isn't suitable for print! And now there are three videos online, with more to come! I must say, it is excruciatingly painful for me to watch and hear myself on video. (And when you see these you will understand why!)

I mean, after all, I'm the one that finally had to hide the Christmas 1990 video from my family just to get a little relief from being laughed at and ribbed mercilessly for weeks by my kids! Here it is nineteen years later,and they're still imitating me! (Don't even try to find it, Trevor -- you never will! That video will never see the light of day again!)

I could have never clicked that "upload" button myself! But . . . I closed my eyes, covered my ears, gritted my teeth, and allowed my husband to upload them to YouTube anyway, hoping they're not even a fraction as horrible as I know they are!

So why on earth did I allow them to go online, for anyone in the whole wide world to see? Because I keep reading that to be successful online, you have to "brand yourself." "People join people, not companies," they say. Well, if someone can watch these terrible videos and still want to join me in business, I will know I have a truly open-minded, willing network marketer!

A person might as well see what you're getting yourself into, eh? Seriously, seeing me on there will give people hope! They will take one look at these videos, and be thinking "We're gonna be RICH! If she can be successful, I know I can!"

In addition to the technical, hands-on education, we had a chance to just sit and pick Big Al's brain for hours on end! We learned sooo much from the master network marketer that it will take many posts to even scratch the surface. So keep checking back! Or better yet, subscribe to my RSS feed. (If you haven't been to the training, don't worry - I didn't know what that meant until last weekend either!)

Just Home From San Antonio, Heading Back Out to Houston

The wonderful Lone Star State seems to be our home away from home for the first part of March! We just got back from the most wonderful 4 days in BEAUTIFUL San Antonio, and we're heading out again to Houston EARLY (as in dark-thirty!) Friday morning.

While in San Antonio, one of our most favorite places in all the world, we had the most beautiful weather imaginable. The Riverwalk was as fun as ever, and we Howled at the Moon at our favorite piano bar. Oh yes, and we attended a FABULOUS business conference, too!

Our conference was at the Westin La Cantera Resort, where we had the swankest suite we have ever seen anywhere! It was actually a luxury condo, with a bathroom larger than a lot of master bedrooms! We had our own HUGE private courtyard,complete with pool and hottub. We were provided with our own golf cart for transportation around the resort. (I know, we have a tough job, but someone's got to do it, right?) The service was excellent as well. All in all we give it a 5 Star rating.

The news from our business conference was out of this world! There are so many great things happening I even put together our own "Economic Stimulus Package" to get the word out about some of them. What is "InterNetworkMarketing?"

I thought I was SO clever, coining a whole new word: InterNetworkMarketing. After all, it's not in the dictionary! But when I went to GoDaddy to purchase a domain, I found out that someone else had already made up that word. Webster's Dictionary just doesn't know about it yet. So I had to settle for "Internetworkmarketing Diva." That's ok. I always did want to be a Diva! (Lemonade is better than lemons, anyway! I trust you're familiar with the advice: When life gives you lemons, make lemonade.")

So what IS "Internetworkmarketing?" Well . . . it's actually pretty self-explanatory if you think about it. It's a combination of Internet Marketing and Network Marketing. In other words, the act of doing network marketing via the internet.

I have been a network marketer for YEARS. (I could tell you how many, but you'd think I was ancient!) So of course, I learned the network marketing the "traditional" way. (Holding "Belly-to-belly" appointments, showing dvds, making phone calls, etc.)

When I lost my voice for basically a YEAR (Now THAT'S a whole other story! It COULD even be a BOOK!) I found traditional methods very difficult to carry out! (Try making multiple phone call with no voice!)

So, while I stayed in touch with my team by emailing and text messaging, I also began searching the internet, looking for ways to expand my business online. I figured while I couldn't talk, I could still type. I discovered that there are TONS of programs and systems to choose from! There are so many things available that initially I suffered from information overload! Next came analysis paralysis. Slowly, painstakingly, I waded through the information and eventually emerged victorious!

After researching,studying,sorting,comparing,testing and eliminating programs and systems for months, I finally chose what I believe to be the very best system available to help a network marketer build a team online. I put the system in place, plugged it in, and now my main "work" is to "drive traffic" to my landing pages. The system does the sorting, so I only speak with people who REQUEST a call.

I LOVE IT! No more cold calls, "prospecting" or bugging my broke friends! Thanks to the power of the internet, I can get dozens of leads more quickly and easily than I can get a single lead with "traditional" offline methods. It's "Attraction Marketing" at its best!

As far as I'm concerned, Internetwork Marketing is definitely the way to go!

Leverage – One Of My Favorite Things About Network Marketing

If you’ve read anything at all by Robert Kiyosaki, you probably are aware that “trading time for money” is the worst way in the world to make money. Yet 95% of Americans are doing exactly that.

There are two main reasons trading time for money is the worst plan:

1) There are only 168 hours in a week and
2) There is only 1 of you.

So unless you require NO sleep, and are one of those rare people who earn $200 or so per hour, there is just no way you are ever going to get ahead financially by trading time for money. (And if you did, you probably wouldn’t have any time to enjoy the money!)

To get ahead, there are three key principles you need to put to work:

1) Leverage your time.
2) Leverage your money.
3) Create passive residual income.

Today we’ll address principle #1, leveraging your time. Leveraging your time means putting it to use operating a system whereby you get paid for other people’s efforts in addition to or in place of your own. For example, do you think Bill Gates has to get out of bed, show up at his office and punch a time clock to get paid? Hardly. He knows what rich people have known for decades: The above principles, starting with Principle number 1. He has systems in place which use other people’s time to create vast amounts of money for him whether he gets out of bed or not.

Both Robert Kiyosaki and Donald Trump recommend Network Marketing as the best way for the “average joe,” who doesn’t have a lot of money to invest (i.e. “leverage”), to create wealth. Network marketing, unlike a job, puts all three of the key principles to work.

This is why I have made network marketing my career. I didn’t want to have to spend 40 hours of my life every week working when I could put in 5-10 hours instead, yet be paid for hundreds of hours of work, thanks to the efforts of the people on my team. They don’t mind, because they have the exact same opportunity I do to leverage THEIR time. We have a saying: TEAM stands for “Together Everyone Achieves More.”

I just typed up a step-by-step plan for one of my new team members, outlining the simple steps needed to reach an income of over $10,800 per month her fifth month in the business. Thanks to the concept of leverage, she will only have to sponsor 4 people herself, then help each of them sponsor 3 people. If each person down the line just sponsors 3 people, that’s where her income will be. Her income will continue to grow as the size of her organization grows, whether she ever personally sponsors any more team members or not.

You may be thinking that for a company to pay out this kind of money, the entry fee must be really high. Nope. Under $300. Where else but in network marketing could you invest less than $300, put in a small amount of effort at the beginning, and watch your income grow that fast?

Sure, I know, “It’s not a perfect world. Not everyone will sponsor their three.” True! But some people will really mess it up and go out and sponsor 10 or more. It’s impossible to predict exactly how the organization will grow. But the point is, as long as SOMEONE is sponsoring SOMEONE, the organization WILL GROW. I ask you: Does your paycheck at your job grow like that?

Is It Possible For An Internet Newbie Network Marketer To Successfully Build A Team Online, And If So, How?

I spent over a year uncovering and scrutinizing the evidence surrounding this controversial question. I am publishing my findings so that others may benefit from that research.

It’s 2:00 a.m., Jan 3, 2009, and I am just too wired to go to bed! Why? Because I just joined the twenty-first century! Let me explain . . .

As a career network marketer of 20+ years, my teambuilding was obviously done through “traditional” methods. When I started my network-marketing career, the internet wasn’t even a glint in Bill Gates’ eye!

If you are a traditional network marketer, you know the drill: Make a list of everyone you know, call them up, set appointments, show them a dvd, then call your up-line for a third-party testimony. Then when the prospective team member doesn’t join on the spot, try to check back with them the next day at the agreed-upon time. When you don’t reach them, continue to follow up with phone calls until your dialing finger wears out and you are forced to face the fact that they have quit answering your calls. People who used to be your friends would now cross the street rather than bump into you. (Congratulations! You have joined the NFL Club --“No Friends Left!”)

Thankfully, I had promoted past the point of having to continually find new team members myself. But I had grown weary of constantly trying to motivate members of my team who were weary of constantly trying to find more people to expose to the business opportunity. I was out of ideas for ways to suggest to them for finding more people to talk to.

I began to hear tantalizing rumors of online systems for lead generation and even sponsorship. But others vehemently declared these rumors were just myths, and that network marketing will only work “belly to belly.”

I felt that if there were that many rumors, there must be something behind them. It just made sense to me that the internet is the tool to use to reach more people! Where else can you contact hundreds or even thousands of people with a click of the mouse?

In fact, I just heard this on a Perry Marshall cd: “Ten years ago Faith Popcorn wrote a book called The Popcorn Report. She said that the trend in the 90’s is “cocooning,” which basically meant that people don’t want to be bothered. If they were cocooning 10 years ago, then today they are locking themselves in a fortress! Some people hide behind their computer, reading their emails all day long, but won’t even answer their telephone. If you’re going to find a way to effectively sell to them, then you’re going to have to find a way to get invited, not as an unwelcome pest, but as an invited guest.”

I know this is the internet age, and I adamantly believe that the future of network marketing will be predominately online. After all, that’s the trend for everything else!

I believed there were probably network marketers using the internet to build their teams, and I was determined to find out for myself!

So the quest began. For months, I spent untold hours diligently searching and researching, seeking the true answer to the question “Is it possible to successfully build a team online in a network marketing company?” After many months of thorough investigation, I am convinced that I have found the answer: Unequivocally, “YES, IT IS!”

Not only did the results of my research prove to me that it is possible, but it is fast becoming a much-preferred technique to “traditional” network marketing methods.

Contrast a) all the time, effort and hassle involved in chasing a limited number of prospects, with b) sitting comfortably at your computer, reaching hundreds of people in the amount of time it would take to make a phone call or two! Sure, I know “it’s not as effective as being in the same room with someone.” But the sheer numbers more than make up for that disadvantage!

The auto-responders do a great job of building a friendly “relationship” with the prospect. If you’ve ever been on someone’s mailing list, you likely have experienced feeling like you almost know the person who’s been sending you those emails and newsletters.

And consider the fact that people are looking specifically for an “online business.” They know they don’t want to have to chase people, either!

Once it registered with me that my original question had in fact been answered, the obvious next question was: “How?” This triggered many more hours of research on my part, tracking down and analyzing the many “turnkey” systems that promise to build your team for you “on autopilot.”

While the systems I studied vary widely in specifics, all share the common goal of having the system do virtually all of the “prospecting.” The object is to save you from wasting any of your valuable time to find out if someone is a prospect or not. Anyone you talk to should have already learned about your business, qualified themselves, and either contacted you or requested a call.

While you may have some emails and phone calls to return from prospects and people who join your team online, your main work is to drive lots of traffic to the lead capture pages of your system. The more traffic the better. Don’t be alarmed – if you select a good system, the tutorials included with it will teach you everything you need to know to do that successfully.

A fringe benefit of many systems, that I heartily endorse, is a way to make money from prospects who do not even join your business!

After several months of studying various systems, I finally recognized that I was suffering from “analysis paralysis.” I decided it was time to stop researching and start testing! I narrowed the field to the three systems I was the most impressed with, and spent a week analyzing and comparing the three. I forced myself to make a decision, and selected one to test. I spent this evening getting it all set up & personalized.

And I did it myself! Yes! I, by myself, was actually able to follow all the instructions in the video tutorials to “plug into the system” and get it up and running without a hitch! Those who know me, with my woeful lack of computer skills, probably won’t be able to believe that, but I swear it’s true! And I didn’t even have to find a teenager to help me! (Although if I had, I would probably have been typing this at 9:00 pm 1/2/09 instead of 2:00 a.m. 1/3/09!)

If the fact that I did it by myself doesn’t speak volumes for the people who put the system together, and wrote the tutorials, I don’t know what would! All the instructions were crystal clear, easy to understand and easy to follow! No tiny little detail was omitted.

Not only did the video tutorials walk me through every single little step, but I even acquired a few skills that will come in handy outside of the system itself! For example, I have had an auto-responder system for months, but hadn't yet learned how to use it! I quickly and easily learned how to use it tonight from the tutorial video of my team-building system! It was really very simple once I had someone showing me, in the video, and walking me through the steps of actually using it!

I am ecstatic to finally have my 21st century online team building system up and running! I have tested it, and it is operating like clockwork! Now I am going to apply the techniques for generating traffic that I have learned in my months of research, with the help of the tutorials in the system, and throw open the floodgates! Hallelujah!

After I sleep in, that is!

I have published a few articles in the past, but never even thought to put them on my blog. Duh! Someone asked me why I didn't have them on here, so I decided to post a couple of them. Here's one of them:

Ten Things You Need to Know Before Joining Any Network Marketing Company

In my 20-year search for what I considered the best network marketing company to be in business with, I discovered many things to look for -- and to watch out for -- in a company. In my experience, these are the 10 most important items.

1. It's absolutely critical that the corporate leadership of the company have integrity and a proven track record. The company is only as good as the people running it.

2. The compensation plan has to be set up so that the reps are well paid. You have to be compensated for your time. For example, the company I am currently with set a cap on corporate profits, requiring over 90% of the revenue to always be paid out to the reps! (That's just unheard of! If that doesn't prove that the founder started the company to help other people and not himself, I don't know what would! Because of this, there have been 28 pay raises in the comp plan during the 8 years the company has been in business.) Unfortunately, most companies are started to make the owner of the company a lot of money. I would especially stay away from any binary plans, because those are usually virtual cash cows for the owners. With binaries, what usually happens is that the reps never get paid for a large percentage of their hard work.

3. The company needs to have very little debt, or better yet, be debt-free (which is rare.) If the company you’re with goes belly-up, your paycheck won't clear the bank!

4. The company needs to have a simple, duplicable system for building your business. If it's too complicated or involves too much education, it will be hard to find enough people willing to get involved or stick with it.

5. The timing of the company can be a huge factor in how quickly you can get your business off the ground. If you can be so fortunate as to get involved with the right company at just the right time, you can be a millionaire within 2-3 years! The "right time" is after the company has been around long enough to prove the test of time (5-6 years) and just before the growth hits critical mass. (The same concept as "buying the real estate before the interstate comes through.")

6. I have learned the hard (expensive!) way to definitely stay away from start-up companies, because in all likelihood they will only be around for a few months. It doesn’t matter how great the comp plan is if they’re not around to pay you. Start-ups are ok to gamble on, of course, but only with money you don't mind losing, and never for your main source of income.

7. I recommend staying away from companies that are traded publicly, because they have to be more concerned with keeping the stockholders happy than keeping the reps happy. And the stockholders could care less about the reps!

8. The company should have competitively-priced consumable products or services that are recession-proof. In other words, things people are going to have to purchase regardless of what happens with the economy.

9. The array of products or services should have enough variety to be flexible and trend-friendly. For example, the company I’m with has such a wide variety of products and services that people use everyday, that it didn't hurt the company one bit when a certain product went out of style. If something else goes out of style, that won't hurt us either, because we'll always be marketing whatever is IN style.

10. The company needs to be one that you sincerely believe in, and have a good feeling about, with products or services that you are sold on yourself. You should always be your own best customer. People can sense your level of belief and commitment, and they won't join with you unless they can tell that you are 100% sold yourself.

FINALLY A NEW POST!

Well, I THOUGHT I had joined the 21st century back on 2/14/08 when my good friend Melodiann helped me set up this blog . . .

Turns out I wasn't quite there yet! You may have noticed that between 2/14/08 and 1/19/09 there were exactly 0 new posts to my blog. Yep, 0. And how many had I TRIED to post? At least a dozen, before just giving up!

The next day after setting up the blog, I went on there to post a new message. I did everything it said to do, and it told me the message had been posted. Then when I logged in again, it wasn't there! This happened over and over again. I was ready to tear my hair out. I cried on Melodiann's shoulder, over the phone, and we set up a time for her to come help me, and figure out what I was doing wrong. Well, something came up, and we rescheduled a time or two, then played phone tag a lot, then before you know it I had slipped back into the same old rut of being a NON-blogger. I knew I had a blog out there somewhere in cyberspace, but it was just a thorn in my side I'd rather not think about. So I didn't.

Until today. Today I decided, "This is ridiculous! Blogs are supposed to be EASY to do! I know I'm as smart as a lot of people out there blogging. I'm going to conquer this monster!" So I called Melodiann to cry on her shoulder again and reschedule our private session of Blogging For Dummies. This time she walked me through it over the phone.

Hmmm . . . seems it helps to go to the right PLACE to create a post! I didn't realize that to put a new post on my blog, I need to go to blogger.com instead of to my blog! BIG DIFFERENCE!

I still don't know why it always made it sound like I had been successful posting from the blog itself, but that's a mystery I'll try to solve in another session. For now I'm just excited that I finally know how to post a new post on my blog! With patience, perserverence, and Melodiann's help, I'm DETERMINED to join the 21st century. One step at a time. Rome wasn't built in a day, and it's hard for this old dog to learn new tricks. But I WILL conquer this thing!

A work in progress

Welcome to my blog.

Two days ago I didn't know what a blog is! (And today I'm still wondering if I do.) A friend of mine (Melodieann) said it was time for me to join the 21st century, so she came over and set it up for me, with my input. She showed me so many things online that it made my head spin. The internet is such a MARVELOUS resource! Those of you who grew up on computers don't know how lucky you are! For those of us who can remember life before personal computers, it's almost like learning a foreign language! (I hope my kids never read this -- they already think I'm ancient as it is!) lol See there, I already know a LITTLE bit of "computer speak" . . . lol for "laughing out loud." (My first encounter with that abbreviation, I kept wondering why my brother was sending me "lots of love" so often in his emails to me, since it seemed SO out of character, and often didn't fit in with the gist of the conversation!)

I have been studying and teaching personal growth topics for over twenty years, and feel that this blog will be a great way to share some of the information that has enriched my life.

Not only do I get paid commissions on my own purchases, but I get those items way cheaper on there to begin with! (And I LOVE that I save myself a trip to Wal Mart or the Veterinary Clinic!)

One of the REALLY amazing things is that when you print out a gift certificate from Restaurants.com (part of the Rewards Mall) and go out to eat with it, it costs you way less than the face value of the gift certificate! And you get paid 10% commission on what you did pay for it! For example, next time we go out for Italian, I am definitely going to go online and print out a $25 gift certificate for this bistro in Fayetteville that I noticed on there, because it will only cost me $10, and then I get paid 10% on THAT, so it will really only cost $9 in the long run, for a $25 gift certificate! Way cool!

Next time you shop online, please go to my site and set yourself up with your own online shopping account, and YOU'LL start getting paid commission on your own purchases, too!
